Holy Childhood Animators Training Program – 2016

The Pontifical Mission Societies (PMS) organized a national training program for the children animators at Social Pastoral Centre, Mymensingh from December 8-10, 2016. The theme was “Mercy and Joy in Christian Family”. Altogether 177 attended the program which included priests, a significant number of Sisters and Catechists and the rest were children Animators from different parishes of Bangladesh. The program began with the welcoming traditional dance. Most Rev. Sebastian Tudu, Bishop of Dinajpur diocese and Chairman of PMS celebrated the inaugural Mass. In his homily, he encouraged the participants to give more time to the children and help them to be formed in the light of the Gospel values and Church’s teachings. Fr. Dominic Halder gave a presentation on the main theme. Sr. Zita Rema, SSMI shared on how to give effective classes to children, and Sr. Rebeca, CIC shared on the qualities of an Animator of the Holy Childhood. The program also included rally, stall exhibition, creative way of making materials by the Animators, life sharing of the Animators working with the children. A married couple shared on mercy and joy in their family life. Most Rev. Ponen Paul Kubi, CSC offered the concluding Mass and he also appreciated the works of the Holy Childhood Animators and wished that the Animators would continue with much zeal and enthusiasm their valuable and loving services to the children,
