Free Medical Camp held at Corpus Christi Church, Jalchatra 

On 30 Sept 2016, Friday, Association of Bangladesh Catholic Doctors (ABCD) organized a day long Free Medical Camp (FMC) for poor and distressed indigenous people at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Jalchatra under Mymensing Diocese. A Six member specialized ABCD medical team served more than 150 patients with free medications. The free medical camps held at Getchua village, Male and Female Hostels at Jalchatra Parish and Jalchatra village. Fr Robi Hubert Gomes CSC, Parish Priest and Fr Subash Costa CSC, both thanked the ABCD specialist medical team for their free medical services to the poorest of the poor people under Jalchatra parish. An unanimous donor donated all medicines for the poor people equivalent to Tk. 30,000/=.

Free Medical camp held at Mathbari Mission, Gazipur

A day long Free Medical Camp (FMC) was held at St. Augustine’s Church, Mothbari, under the Archdiocese of Dhaka on 07 Oct 2016 for poor and distressed people of Mathbari and Kaligong areas. Mathbari Christian Cooperative Credit Union Ltd. organized the free medical camp with the help of the Association of Bangladesh Catholic Doctors (ABCD).

 

Mr Sadequrer Rahman Sarker, Deputy Register of Department of Cooperatives, Bangladesh Government was very happy to experience that Mathbari Christian Cooperative Credit Union (MCCCUL) not only helps people to alleviate their economic poverty, but also extends their assistance to the solution of people’s physical and mental sickness by providing them specialized consultation by a group of experienced and young physician from ABCD who give free medical serves irrespective of caste and creed. The ABCD medical team with 5 nurses was able to visit and provide free medications to 250 patients on that day.
