Catholic Bishops' Conference of Bangladesh is located at 24/C Asad Avenue, Mohammedpur. You may be aware that the assembly of the Catholic Bishops of Bangladesh is named "The Catholic Bishops' Conference of Bangladesh" (CBCB). The conference is established in order that the Catholic Bishops in Bangladesh in a collegial spirit can as a council jointly exercise their office in all matters related to the life and mission of the Church in Bangladesh. Therefore, the conference is meant to facilitate common policy and action in matters that affect the interests of the Catholic Church in Bangladesh, and to be of service to the country at large.
It will act with a view to promoting the greater good which the Church offers to all peoples, especially through forms and programs of the apostolate which are fittingly adapted to local circumstances and to the needs of the times. Having belonged to the Catholic Bishops' Conference of Pakistan earlier, the Bishops of Bangladesh established their own Conference, called "The Catholic Bishops' Conference of Bangladesh" (CBCB) in 1971. As a small Conference it was able to carry out its activities with the very minimum structures.
